Description
The School-Wide Information System (SWIS) is a web-based decision system used to improve behavior support in schools and other educational facilities by providing school personnel and stakeholders with accurate, timely, and practical information for making decisions about school environments. The purpose of this training is to introduce SWIS as a decisions system for social climate and discipline data along with the benefits, features, and impact on staff procedures.
Objectives: Upon completion of this training, participants will be able to:
- Describe the purpose and benefits of SWIS to colleagues
- Identify basic features of SWIS
- Describe potential impact on staff procedures for responding to and documenting problem behavior incidents
Audience: School Leadership Teams (administrators, school counselors, psychologists, classroom educators, and special educators) including those analyzing schoolwide behavior data.
Note: The SWIS App costs $400 per school per year. 3s Schools, please refer to your MOU for cost coverage.
