Engaging Learners in Academic Vocabulary provides K-12 educators a practical, content agnostic instructional routine to support improved vocabulary development by effectively assisting learners in connecting and applying prioritized academic vocabulary.

Objectives:

• Understand the purpose of explicit vocabulary instruction

• Identify academic vocabulary terms

• Evaluate a curriculum, content, and grade-level agnostic academic vocabulary instructional routine.

• Create a plan for implementing the academic vocabulary routine
