CREA - SEEDS of Learning Implementation Training (September 2023-May 2024)

Description

SEEDS provides a framework to address the 5 Big Early Literacy predictors and the 5 Big Early Math Ideas while using SEEDS Quality Interactions. 

The mission of SEEDS is to make sure every child can read fluently by third grade. 

SEEDS Year 1 will focus on learning the SEEDS framework one topic at a time. Participants will then implement the learning strategies in their classrooms and will be coached for fidelity throughout the year. 

Topics include: 

  • SEEDS of EARLY Learning, 
  • SEEDS Quality Interactions, 
  • Social and Emotional Development, 
  • Vocabulary and Oral Language, 
  • Book Awareness, 
  • Phonological Awareness, 
  • Visual Discrimination, 
  • Print and Written Expression, and
  • Scheduling and Unit Theme Planning

SEEDS Year 2 will focus on meeting the individual needs of students. As data is collected and analyzed, participants will be coached on how to meet the needs of each student using small group instruction and SEEDS interventions. Progress monitoring will determine growth and guide instruction.

  • Data Analysis, 
  • Response to Intervention, and 
  • Progress Monitoring
